Introduction
Shanghai Science & Technology Museum is an important social and cultural project funded and established by the Shanghai Municipal Government. Covering an area of 68,000 square metres and an architectural area of 98,000 square metres, it has been built with a total investment of RMB 1.755 billion. It consists of seven exhibition areas: Earth's Crust Exploration, Wide Spectrum of Life, Light of Wisdom, AV Paradise, Cradle of Designers, Children's Technoland, and Natural History. There is also an IMAX Dome Theatre and IWERKS Theatre.

Shanghai Science&Techology Museum opened six exhibition areas and a  branch to visitors at her first show. It is applealing to all kinds of visitors especially for children. The exhibition can express an idea to people: love nature. The 9th APEC was held in Shanghai  Science & Technology Museum in October 21, 2001. Shanghai shows her charming  and superior culture as a metropolis. Since December 18, 2001, Shanghai Science & Technology Museum has been the hot highlight , especially amazed by citizens and  students. There have been more than 6,000,000 people who visited the Museum. Meanwhile, the Museum as a science education attraction has received a good reputation among the society.

Shanghai Science & Technology Museum Fee and Opening Hours
Admission Fee: RMB 60, RMB 45 for student ( primary and middle students ) ,specail offer RMB 20 for  retired cadre ,disabled person,older above 70 years old,and childrens below 1.2 meters
Opening Hours: 9:00 to 17:00, closed per Monday(further notice o­n National Day)
