Introduction
Century Park, appropriately named for its opening in the year 2000, is Shanghai's largest ecological city park, and possible the newest park. It is located in Pudong, 8 kilometers from the downtown area of Puxi, and is directly on the No.2 Pearl Line. The park was designed by the British LUC Company, with a total investment of RMB 1,000,000,000. Within the 140 hectares of land, there are seven scenic areas with crisscrossing paths, undulating hills, evergreen trees, a tranquil lake, and a meander-ing stream.

The park also includes an outdoor music theatre, meeting plaza, children's recreation area, fishing pond, and small motorboat rentals.
